Born in Kleinmachnow, Germany, 31 year old actress Susanne Bormann has appeared in over 30 motion picture, stage and television productions, thus establishing herself on the German theatre industry's A list for over a decade. Her first appearance was as an eight year old in Michael Gwisdecks's Travers (released in '88) and steady work as a young actress caught the eye of director and producer Andreas Dresden, who advised her to further her acting career by enrolling in the esteemed Academy of Music and Theatre in Rostock.
Upon completion of her studies in the arts, Bormann would be offered roles in productions including Freunde (Friends) and Liegen lernen (Sun Learning) with German actor Fabien Busch. On television viewers remember her for drammatic roles as well as comedy which cemented her as one of T.Vs most loved German speaking celebrities. As part of the Nibelungen Festival in Worms 2009, Bormann starred in the John von Duffel comedy Life of Siegfried where she played the role of Kriemhild to great acclaim.
On a personal note, although never having explored fully her musical talents, friends have said that Bormann is an accomplished piano player who may have a talent for more than just her chosen art. Often typecast for her blue eyes and blonde hair, she has risen above the profile daring to venture into genres not typically suited for an actress of her initial on screen persona as a teenager and young woman.
Her stage presence was always held in high regard by critics and a return to the theatres seemed in the cards for the talented actress. Her latest venture is a 2 year stint with theatre company in Nurnberg (Nurnberg Straatstheatre) where she is looking to further challenge herself and her art on stage, where she began her journey in the entertainment industry.
