Hollywood audiences may know Susan Anbeh for her role opposite Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton in the romantic comedy French Kiss in 1995. She started her career in TV and mini series roles in her native Germany where she lives with partner, German actor, Bernard Shirr and their 10 year old son. Since the year 2000, she has accumulated more than 40 appearances in motion pictures and television productions making her amongst the busiest actresses in her homeland.

Being of French-Iranian ancestry, Susan can often play exotic roles not often suited for typical German actors, which has made her a commodity in the German entertainment industry, often portraying eastern European characters and alike.
