Jennifer Love Hewitt is an American actress, TV director, singer-songwriter and TV and film producer. She was born on February 21, 1979 in Waco, Texas and grew up in Nolanville, Texas.
When she was just six months old, her parents separated and she and her brother were brought up by their mother. At age ten she and her mother move to Los Angeles so that she can pursue a career in acting and singing, while her brother stays in Texas to finish school.
Her big break in television came when she got cast in the TV series "Party of Five" as Sarah Reeves, in 1995. She stayed with the show until it ended in 1999. She also starred in and co-produced the show's spin-off "Time of Your Life", but the show was short lived and was cancelled after only half a season. She is currently starring in the TV series The "Ghost Whisperer"(since 2005).
She established herself as a movie star after the release of the film "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997) which was a huge box office success. She also played one of the lead roles in it's sequel in 1998. Some of her more notable films would also be "Can't Hardly Wait" (1998), "Heartbreakers" (2001) where she starred opposite Sigourney Weaver.
Although music has always been present in her life her singing career never really took off. Only a handful of singles made it to the charts.
Romatically she has been linked to Carson Daly, whom she had a long term relationship with in the 90s, and more recently singer John Meyer and professional kayaker Brad Ludden. She was also engaged to Ross McCall, a Scottish actor, from 2007 to 2009. Between the years of 1997 and 2008 she was voted one of the sexiest women in the world by FHM magazine and in 2006, 2008 and 2009 by Maxim.
