Giorgia Palmas was born March 5, 1982, in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, a small maritime town best known for its striking architecture and dazzling seaside vistas. A gorgeous attraction in her own right, Giorgia began modeling at the age of 16, and by 2000, she was crowned Miss Italy.
Giorgias well-deserved victory earned her an invitation to compete at that years prestigious Miss World competition, and she finished in second place to Miss India, Priyanka Chopra. Although she was disappointed she didnt win, Chopra had been heavily favored heading into the contest and most observers came away impressed with Giorgias poise and ethereal beauty.
In fact, Italian television producers were so pleased with what they saw that they immediately began bombarding Giorgia with lucrative offers to appear on the small screen. Giorgia happily complied and in 2001, she began appearing regularly on the program Buona Domenica, a popular variety show that has been a fixture on Italian TV since 1985.
Giorgias appearances were extremely well-received by viewers and in 2002, she won a national competition to become one of the two showgirls on the highly rated Italian show Striscia la notizia. The program made her more popular than ever before, and she stayed onboard for two memorable seasons before flying the coop to appear on the shows Lucignolo, I Raccomandati and, most recently, CD Live Estate.
Not one to forget her roots, Giorgia also returned to the world of modeling and she treated her legions of fans to a scintillating spread in Max magazine in 2005. In fact, her sizzling pictorial was such a huge hit that Giorgia was asked back to appear in her very own topless calendar for the publication the following year. Thankfully for men around the planet, Giorgia agreed, and she was photographed by renowned shutterbug Giovanni Cozzi on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sicily.
Girogia continues to make regular appearances on Italian television and she is the shapely spokesmodel for Cotton Club underwear.
