Stacy Ann Ferguson, better known as Fergie, is a popular singer-songwriter as well as an actress and fashion designer. She was born March 27, 1975 in Hacienda Heights, California.
Her career began in 1984 when she did voice over work as the character Sally in the TV cartoon "Peanuts". Afterwards, she starred in the TV show "Kids Incorporated". Fergie appeared on over 300 episodes from 1984 to 1989. Despite this workload, she was a model student with straight A's, a cheerleader and a girl scout. In 1990, Fergie performed in the girl band "Wild Orchid" which made three albums. She also modeled for "Bongo" and "Guess" and had her own TV show on Fox called "The Great Pretenders".
During this time, Fergie developed an addiction to crystal methamphetamine. Her weight dropped to 90lbs and she told her family that she was bulimic. Fergie eventually beat her problem and went on to work with the "Black Eyed Peas" for several songs. She was asked to join the group permanently after the backup singer Kim Hill left the group in 2000. Fergie was with the "Black Eyed Peas" for two successful albums and then decided to pursue a career as a solo singer.
Her first album was released in 2006 and is a mix of pop and R&B. Fergie was very successful as a solo artist and was nominated and has won many awards, including the American Music Awards, Billboard Year-End Chart, and MTV Music Awards. Fergie has openly said that she is a very sexual person and has had lesbian experiences. She gained attention for her romantic relationship with Justin Timberlake before 2001. In 2004, she began to date actor Josh Duhamel and the couple was married in 2009. They are expecting a child in 2010.
