Eliza Dushku is an actress who gained fame for her role as Faith in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has also had roles in several other television series and appeared in various movies. The actress was born December 30, 1980 in Watertown Massachusetts. Her father was a public school teacher and administrator and her mother a professor of political science at Suffold University, Boston. Eliza Dushku's parents divorced while she was a baby and the young girl spent her time between both parents. Her last name comes from her father's Albanian's decent and her mother is of Danish and English decent. In 2006, the prime minister of Albania invited Dushku to visit the country of her distant heritage. While visiting Kosovo on the same trip, Dushku got an eagle tattoo on her neck, the symbol of Albania.
Eliza Dushku's career began when she was just 10 years old and was cast in the film "That Night". This film, Dushku got roles alongside actors like Robert De Niro and Arnold Schwarzenegger in "This Boy's Lifeand True Lies", respectively. She had appeared in seven films before taking time off to finish high school. In 1998, Dushku got the role of Faith in the series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Dushku's character was not supposed to be long term but she was so popular that she appeared on the show for five seasons. She also costarred in the spinoff show "Angel". "Angel", Dushku was in the series Tru Davisas the title role from 2003-2005. She went on to produce and star in the cult hit show "Dollhouse" in 2009-2010 as Echo. Eliza Dushku has also had minor roles in many films and has her own production company, Boston Diva.
