Christina Maria Aguilera came into the world on December 18, 1980 in Stated Island, New York. She is best known for being a pop sensation and a songwriter. She lived with both her parents and moved around frequently until they divorced when she was 7, after which she, her younger sister and her mother moved to her maternal grandmother's home near Pittsburgh.

She has always had a mighty voice and started performing at an early age. In 1993 she was cast in "The New Mickey Mouser Club" along with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Her first award nomination came in 1998 with the song "Reflection" from the animated movie "Mulan", many others were soon to follow. Her first studio album "Christina Aguilera" out in August, 1999 climbing to the top of the charts. Her first single "Genie In a Bottle" a huge success on the charts along with other singles off the album. She also won an award at the Grammys in 2000 in the category Best New Artist. She followed her debut album with three more: "Stripped" (2002), "Back To Basics" (2006) and "Bionic" (2010) for release in April 2010, each reflecting a different image she was portraying at the time. Stripped was more edgy, "Back To Basics" had many elements of jazz and soul with a little bit of a 50's feel and we expect "Bionic" to be something purely different as well.

She is involved with organizations and charities such as PETA, Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh and is also a fighter for gay and lesbian rights. Throughout her career Aguilera has received a total of 4 Grammy Awards out of the 15 times she was nominated. She married boyfriend Jordan Bratman on November 2005, after dating him for 3 years. The two had their first son Max Liron Bratman in January 2008.
