Caroline Catz is an English actress. This girl has starred in films, television programmes, theatre and radio.
On deciding to become an actress, Caroline had to change her birth surname from Caplan to Catz as there was already an actress with that name registered at Equity. Catz came up with Catz after seeing a doodle of a cat, but ironically she is extremely allergic to cats.
Actress has appeared in "All Quiet on the Preston Front", "The Bill", "Peak Practice", "The Vice" and "Murder in Suburbia". Her most recent role was in ITV1's "Doc Martin", where she plays primary school teacher Louisa Glasson. Catz has played this role to the present day; there have been three series broadcast so far, with a fourth commissioned and as of September 2008 is in production.
In March 2008 Caroline guested with East Kilbride rock combo The Jesus and Mary Chain for a folk rendition of "Just Like Honey" a track featured in the 2004 film "Lost In Translation" with Bill Murray.
In November 2008, Catz played Anna, the puppet maker in the stage production "On Emotion". Actress co-starred in "Deja-Vu", a radio play broadcasted by BBC RADIO 4 on Wednesday 4 February 2009 at 2.15-3.00pm.
She married to fellow actor Michael Higgs; the couple met on the set of "The Bill". They have a son named Sonny and a daughter named Honour.
