Amanda Swisten comes from NY where she was raised as well. Born 5 days before Christmas in '78, she started off as a model, became and actress and has her own column in Maxim.
She got into TV and acting in 2003 and stayed for 3 years. In this time, she appeared in the last installment of American Pie: The Wedding (2003), and starred in one episode each for the following shows: I'm With Her (2004), Two and a Half Men (2004), Joey (2004) and Las Vegas (2004) amongst many others. She also played herself in 10 Things Every Guy Should Experience (2004) and Love Lounge (2005). The last appearance was as an actress was in one episode of Cracking Up (2006). At the time when some of the American troops were in Iraq, she teamed up with the former Superman, Dean Cain, and went there to offer support. This was back in 2005.
The UK edition on Maxim also has her as a regular writer for the column on serial killers. With her beauty and long legs aside, Amanda Swisten was forever intrigued by serial killers and the psychology on them. This reached a new height when she started writing and she is still receiving letters from a killer awaiting an execution. In the year 2005, she was a guest speaker on talk-back radio show on AM - Coast to Coast, as a bit of an expert on serious killings and their executors, based on her experience.

The blond beauty shows that it's not just looks that got her into the world of entertainment but the brains as well. On the Maxim's website, she is portrayed in black underwear, in various positions.
