Amanda Ray Beard comes from Newport Beach, California where she was born on Oct 29th 1981.

The blonde beauty is a sports person and growing up next to the beach, she got into swimming. She competed in 4 Summer Olympics between 1996-2008. She is best known for the breaststroke style that saw her collect a total of 7 medals (last one in 2004). Back in 2003, she was 1st in the world for 200m breaststroke.

What's interesting is that when she competed for her first Olympic Games held in Atlanta, she was only fourteen. That year, she scored 3 medals and was one of the youngest competitors to win. 2008 Olympics weren't that great for her as she dropped out before the semis.

Thanks to her gorgeous figure and athletic body, Amanda Beard got into modeling. 2006 saw her appear in FHM and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Only a year later, she took it all off and spread for July edition of Playboy. She doesn't eat meat and is against people wearing clothes made from animal skin - She is a member of PETA and Defenders for Wildlife. She gave a try at presenting and was a person on the field for The Best Damn Sports Show Period, 2 years ago, in '08.� In her spare time she is an interior decorator.

She became a mother to a baby boy only 6 months ago, on Sept 15th '09. She is married to Sasha Brown who's a photographer by profession. For her contribution to the sports world, she won an award for being a swimmer of the year 2003-2004 by Swimming World and was announced as the Hottest Female Athlete in '05 by ESPN.
