Alesha Anjanette Dixon was born 7 October 1978, a singer from England. Apart from being a singer, she is also a songwriter, does dancing and modeling and is a TV personality.
Between 1999-2005, she was part of the R&B band Mis-Teeq, signed to Telstar Records. The successful career of the band won them a MOBO Award for best garage act and a nomination at the Brit Awards. When Telstar went into receivership, the band released the greatest hits with support of Universal Records in 2005. After this release, the members of the band went their separate ways to pursue their own careers. Dixon signed up a three-record deal with Polydor Records who dropped her in 2006 but gave her the exclusive rights to her album "Fired Up" which was released in early 2008.
Since then, she signed up a four-record deal with Asylum Records, which saw her being nominated for BRIT Award in 2010. Her first album with them "The Alesha Show", saw Alesha Dixon have 2 singles in a top 5. Her next album is due in 2010. She was a contestant in 5th series of Strictly Come Dancing and a judge in 7th series. She is involved in various health campaigns and charity foundations.
Alesha did modeling, appearing in Cosmopolitan, FHM, Arena, Company, Bliss and other magazines and presented Mister World 2010 in Korea. Her modeling career is represented by Select Model Management.
On a personal front, she divorced in 2006 after being married to long term partner MC Harvey for just over a year and is currently unmarried living with her two dogs. Alesha also cut her ties with her own brother.
